Strategic hiring at AI4I: open position for Talent Acquisition Specialist
AI4I – the Italian Institute of Artificial Intelligence for Industry – is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to support the Institute’s strategic growth and help develop a strong, future-oriented community of professionals and researchers in the field of artificial intelligence and advanced technologies.
The selected candidate will play a key role in the scouting, selection and onboarding of talents across AI4I’s core programmes, including the AI Factory, R&D Units, System User Knowledge (SUK) platform, and the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS).
The position is open to professionals with solid experience in talent acquisition and engagement strategies, particularly in STEM disciplines and within dynamic, innovation-driven environments. The role requires the ability to identify and attract profiles with high potential and strategic relevance – from scientific and technical experts to innovation leaders – working at the intersection of research, industry, and public engagement.
Key responsibilities:
- Define search strategies and support job call development
- Lead scouting activities across scientific and technological communities
- Coordinate selection and onboarding procedures
- Build and maintain a high-quality talent pipeline aligned with AI4I’s mission and values
- Promote the Institute’s positioning and visibility as an attractive, high-level environment for top talents – in a role bordering on community-building and strategic evangelism
The ideal candidate has:
- Proven experience in talent acquisition, preferably in research, technology, or innovation ecosystems
- Strong familiarity with the scientific and innovation landscape in AI and STEM fields
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
- A proactive and structured approach to managing complex recruitment processes and networks
