AI4I took part in the “AI-Matters Roadshow” held on March 26 in Bologna, at the CINECA supercomputing center. The event, promoted by MADE Competence Center with the support of the European Commission and the Italian Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT), brought together institutions, researchers and companies to discuss how to accelerate AI adoption in the manufacturing sector and strengthen regional ecosystems.
Representing AI4I was Alessandro De Florentiis, Strategic Partnerships Manager, who presented the role of the Institute within the Italian AI-for-industry landscape.
“Today, AI adoption is a top priority for large enterprises, but SMEs are lagging behind. At AI4I, we want to close this gap by offering concrete tools, shared infrastructure, and accessible training paths. AI can become a technology ‘for everyone’ — if supported properly.”
During his talk, De Florentiis shared key data on the Italian AI market and the structural barriers holding back SMEs. AI4I’s mission is to turn these challenges into opportunities through scalable, real-world solutions.
The next stops of the AI-Matters Roadshow will be announced on the official MADE Competence Center website: https://www.made-cc.eu
