Emanuele Orsini, President of Confindustria, accompanied by Director General Maurizio Tarquini, visited today the headquarters of the Italian Institute of Artificial Intelligence (AI4I) at OGR Torino, where he was welcomed by Fabio Pammolli, President of AI4I.

The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the strategic role of artificial intelligence in industry, with a particular focus on AI4I’s mission to connect research, enterprises, and digital infrastructures in order to strengthen the innovative and technological capacity of the national production system.

Emanuele Orsini:

“As Confindustria, we are very interested in the operational solutions that AI4I can deploy on the key production factors of our enterprises. This collaboration aims to help our small and medium-sized companies accelerate the adoption of artificial intelligence.”

Fabio Pammolli, President of AI4I:

“President Orsini’s visit confirms the importance of maintaining a constant dialogue between research and industry to build a future of sustainable and technologically advanced growth. AI4I works to connect scientific competences and productive capabilities, translating AI research into economic value and competitiveness for the country. Collaboration with Confindustria allows us to work together to strengthen Italy’s technological and industrial leadership.”

The visit concluded with a presentation of AI4I’s main initiatives — from the R&D Labs to the AI Factory and the System for User Knowledge (SUK) — which together form the architecture through which the Institute promotes the adoption of artificial intelligence within Italy’s industrial ecosystem.
