The Mind Machines – AI Dialogues conference series in collaboration with OGR Turin opened with the event entitled ‘The Geopolitics of Artificial Intelligence: Strategy, Conflict and the New World Order’.

Following an introduction by AI4I President Professor Fabio Pammolli, the session explored the geopolitical, economic and political implications of artificial intelligence. The analysis focused in particular on the book ‘Geopolitics of Artificial Intelligence’ by Alessandro Aresu, complemented by Alessandra Benedetti’s talk on the application of AI in industry.

Under the moderation of Floriana Bulfon, the speakers conducted an analysis of the geopolitcs of the AI challenge, of the resources required for the development of AI, and of the opportunities and threats that lie ahead for Europe and Italy.

AI4I aims to consolidate its role for the development of AI in the Italian industry sectors, accompanying the country in this epochal transformation, building solutions, uniting talents but also with a give-back to the community so that this change is inclusive and understood by a wider audience.
