AI4I is developing SUK (System for User Knowledge), an AI-driven platform designed to enhance collaboration within Italy’s industrial sector.
The name, inspired by the ancient Arabic market, reflects the platform’s role as a central hub for exchange and collaboration. Suk connects startups, small and medium-sized enterprises, large industries, and research institutions, fostering an ecosystem for technological and industrial progress. The platform’s presentation during a visit by Anna Maria Bernini, Minister of University and Research, underscores its strategic importance for Italy’s innovation agenda.
Suk will serve as an AI-powered matchmaking system, connecting entities based on their needs and capabilities. It will include an interactive showroom for showcasing technologies, support open innovation through technology challenges, and provide access to advanced computational resources and specialized facilities. The platform is scheduled to be operational by June 2025.
Fabio Pammolli, President of the Italian Institute for Artificial Intelligence, emphasized the institute’s strategic vision, stating, “AI4I is advancing decisively with international recruitment and a new model for organizing technology transfer activities, while building on an extensive network of small industrial partner laboratories.”
Suk is a cornerstone of AI4I’s strategy to promote artificial intelligence within Italy’s industrial sector, enhancing competitiveness and driving economic growth.
