The Italian Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI4I) took part in the 2025 edition of AIWeek, Italy’s key event dedicated to innovation and AI ecosystems.

During a panel, Fiorenza Succu, Chief Evangelist of AI4I, presented three strategic directions: R&D Units, the SUK platform, and the internationalization agenda.

The R&D Units are the cornerstone of AI4I’s research model. Designed as modular and interconnected entities, each unit operates independently while contributing to a coordinated framework that enables synergies, strengthens industrial collaborations, and supports the development of high-impact applications.

SUK (System for User Knowledge) is an ecosystem designed to connect the demand and supply of AI solutions across Italy; i.e. a digital AI-oriented matchmaking platform that helps companies, innovative SMEs, and startups collaborate, co-develop, and scale innovation—fast.

Internationalization is another central element of AI4I’s mission: IAS is the international projection of AI4I. Launched with Compagnia di San Paolo, CSP-IAS is a cutting-edge center that connects AI4I and its ecosystem to advanced research and innovation. It brings together top global players from academia, industry, and policy to foster international synergies and drive industrial innovation through strategic collaboration.

AI4I’s participation in AIWeek confirms the Institute’s role as a key player in Italy’s innovation system, bridging national expertise with global partnerships.
