AI4I takes part in the national dialogue on industrial transformation
Turin, 25 October 2025 – The 2025 edition of the Open Innovation Summit, promoted by Il Sole 24 Ore and Zest, brought together companies, start-ups, policymakers, and research centers at OGR Torino to discuss how artificial intelligence is reshaping the economy, production systems, and competitiveness.
With the manifesto title “AI – A great alliance between enterprises, start-ups, and technology,” the Summit focused on the need for a systemic collaboration that connects research, industry, and innovation, enabling sustainable growth.
After the opening remarks by Marco Gay, Executive President of Zest, Fabio Tamburini, Editor-in-Chief of Il Sole 24 Ore, and Federico Silvestri, CEO of Gruppo 24 Ore, the discussions explored how AI is redefining industrial competitiveness and decision-making processes in both the private and public sectors.
During the session dedicated to the role of AI in supporting industrial transformation, Fabio Pammolli, President of the Italian Institute of Artificial Intelligence (AI4I), outlined the Institute’s mission to transfer advanced computational and AI methods to key production sectors such as manufacturing, automotive, and aerospace.
“AI4I was established to support the industrial transformation of the Italian economy by bringing artificial intelligence into production processes, organizational models, and decision-making systems. AI is not only a technology but a lever for building new forms of collaboration and new trajectories of competitiveness,” said Fabio Pammolli.
