AI4I at the ConfIN Hub Roadshow: Palermo hosts discussion on AI for SMEs
The national tour of the ConfIN Hub Roadshow, promoted by Confindustria Innovation Hub, made its eighth stop on March 26, 2026, in Palermo, hosted by Sicindustria. The workshop, titled “AI for SMEs: Innovation, Opportunities and Growth”, brought together companies, experts and institutional representatives to explore the growing role of artificial intelligence in business processes and competitive strategies for small and medium-sized enterprises.
During the event, AI4I was represented by Fiorenza Succu, who outlined the Institute’s approach to supporting AI adoption across the industrial system. The presentation focused on two key operational pillars: System User Knowledge (SUK), a model designed to enable the effective integration of artificial intelligence into business processes, and the AI Factory, an infrastructure aimed at guiding companies along their implementation journey.
The programme featured contributions from representatives of Confindustria, Digital Innovation Hubs and leading organisations within the innovation ecosystem, alongside company case studies discussed during a session moderated by Luca Orlando. The discussion provided a platform for direct exchange between businesses and institutional stakeholders on the conditions required to accelerate AI adoption.
The strong participation recorded in Palermo further confirmed the relevance of the Roadshow as a concrete platform for Italian SMEs, offering access to expertise, tools and strategic guidance. In this context, AI4I’s contribution aligns with its broader mission to support companies in adopting artificial intelligence as a driver of growth and competitiveness.
