After five intensive days of lectures, workshops, coding sessions and collaborative project work, this edition of Let’s Shape! Summer School has come to an end.
From September 19 to 23, the programme brought together students, researchers and professionals to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence, computational design and structural engineering, with a special focus on shells and spatial structures.
Organized in collaboration with CSP/IAS \ Institute for Advanced Study, ARtIStE International Association, 4S-Italian Association for the Studies on Shells and Spatial Structures and endorsed by The Italian Institute of Artificial Intelligence (AI4I) and Politecnico di Torino , the initiative combined theoretical foundations with hands-on experimentation, offering participants the opportunity to engage with AI-driven design workflows, machine learning techniques and advanced optimization methods.

Beyond the numbers, Let’s Shape! fostered a vibrant environment for learning, discussion and collaboration, bringing together diverse expertise and perspectives around the future of intelligent design.
A heartfelt thank you to all lecturers, partners, organizers and participants who contributed to making this first edition such a success. We leave with new ideas, new connections and a stronger understanding of how AI can support the design of complex structures and the built environment.
