On Monday, May 5, 2025, the Commission for European and International Affairs of the Parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia paid a visit to the Italian Institute for Artificial Intelligence (AI4I) in Turin.

The delegation of around 20 members, representing North Rhine-Westphalia’s strategic partnership with the Piedmont region, arrived in the city to strengthen regional and international collaboration.

Hosted by AI4I’s Chief Evangelist, Fiorenza Succu, the group toured the institute’s state-of-the-art facilities at OGR.

During the session, Ms. Succu outlined AI4I’s current projects, focusing on how artificial intelligence can drive innovation across diverse policy areas—one of the Commission’s key interests. The visitors discussed the institute’s contributions to EU-wide AI initiatives and explored opportunities for future R&D partnerships.
