The Italian Institute of Artificial Intelligence (AI4I) is a public research, development, and engineering institute established in June 2024. It is dedicated to advancing cutting-edge research and engineering in Artificial Intelligence across science, technology, and industrial applications. Conceived as a strategic national infrastructure and supported by stable public funding, the Institute is based in a unique innovation hub in Turin.
The System for User Knowledge (SUK) is AI4I’s innovative B2B marketplace where the demand of AI-based solution can find hundreds of solutions by Italian AI producers. AI4I is seeking a talented candidate to join our SUK Department. You will have the opportunity to guide B2B clients through the identification, evaluation and implementation of Artificial Intelligence solutions, providing end-to-end support: from the initial assessment to the delivery phase and post-implementation monitoring.

Key Responsabilities
- Act as a bridge between business stakeholders, operational teams and AI solution providers, translating business challenges into technical opportunity areas and vice versa
- Qualify client needs by assessing business relevance, feasibility, data availability, urgency, budget fit and organizational readiness and identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies and low-value activities by engaging in active dialogue and in documentation exchange with the company stakeholders
- Review and map operational processes and technical solutions
- Support the definition of expected value by outlining potential benefits, operational impact, adoption risks, cost drivers and in general find and translate business needs into clear functional requirements aligned with available AI solutions
- Draft your findings into a comprehensive assessment of the subject’s AI Readiness and build an AI Roadmap to address its needs
- Build and present compelling AI use cases tailored to the client’s industry, maturity level and operational context
- Lead discovery sessions with clients, structuring conversations to surface pain points, priorities, constraints and AI opportunity areas and support clients in selecting external vendors and in coordinating AI solution implementation, project scoping by defining implementation prerequisites, data needs, stakeholder involvement, success criteria and delivery assumptions
- Perform data gathering and reporting in a clear and structured manner
- Present analyses and technological proposals with clarity, confidence, and strategic vision and ability to address client concerns and objections related to AI feasibility, security, governance, compliance and business impact
About you
You have a University Degree, preferably in Engineering or related fields with a strong understanding of enterprises processes and production technologies and a good understanding of the current AI landscape, including the potential and limitations of Generative AI, LLMs, Automation tools and Intelligent Agents.
You have the ability to understand industrial environments, operational workflows and the practical constraints affecting AI deployment.
You have knowledge of the business impacts, including security, data processing, GDPR and the EU AI Act and you are able to interact both with operatives and C level executives with experience in consultative B2B environments, solution advisory, technical pre-sales or
innovation scouting is considered a strong plus.
You are able to build credibility quickly, facilitate structured conversations and guide clients
through complex decision-making processes.
You are able to produce high-quality assessment documents, executive summaries, vendor
comparison notes and recommendation materials for decision-making, define success metrics
and monitor adoption, performance and business outcomes after implementation.
