The first event of the second edition of Mind Machines – AI Dialogues brought Pininfarina, Alessi and Pattern together at OGR Torino for a conversation on how artificial intelligence is reshaping creativity, design and the Made in Italy industries.

On 29 September 2026, the first event of the second edition of Mind Machines – AI Dialogues took place at OGR Torino. Promoted by the Italian Institute of Artificial Intelligence (AI4I), OGR Torino and Fondazione CRT, the series explores the impact of artificial intelligence on industry, culture, society and geopolitics.

The opening dialogue, Creative Industries: the future of creativity between Made in Italy and artificial intelligence, brought together three perspectives from sectors where technology, design and industrial know-how are increasingly intertwined.

Giuseppe Cascone, Exterior Designer Specialist and AI Integration Specialist at Pininfarina, Carlo Gasparini, Design Director at Alessi, and Laura Del Noce, Group ICT Director at Pattern, discussed how AI is entering creative and design processes, opening up new possibilities for experimentation, product development and innovation. The conversation was moderated by Emiliano Audisio.

From automotive and product design to fashion, the discussion focused on a question that cuts across the Made in Italy industries: how does creativity change when AI becomes part of the design process?

The event marked the beginning of the second edition of Mind Machines – AI Dialogues, which will continue with new conversations on different applications and implications of artificial intelligence, from data for good to robotics and automation in manufacturing, as well as the ethical questions raised by its growing role in everyday life.
