On 3 May 2024 in Turin, at the Museo del Risorgimento, the “Ai4Industry” Foundation was presented, in the presence of ministers Giancarlo Giorgetti, Adolfo Urso and Anna Maria Bernini, the president of the Piedmont Region Alberto Cirio, and the mayor of Turin Stefano Lo Russo.
“The foundation was founded with a precise mandate: to oversee the applications of artificial intelligence – says Giorgetti – to the industrial sectors, starting with aerospace and automotive. This is the area in which Italy – the world’s second and seventh largest manufacturer – has a competitive advantage to preserve and develop. The attempt is to project the automotive tradition of Turin into the future. We must look ahead”.
Based in Turin, the Italian Centre for Artificial Intelligence will play a key role in the study and dissemination of applied AI techniques and methodologies in various production sectors, starting with automotive and aerospace.
