Laura Morgagni presented AI4I’s role as an enabling infrastructure for industrial AI adoption, highlighting the SUK platform and the importance of public-private cooperation.

On 7 October 2026, AI4I participated in the Forum on Generative Artificial Intelligence, held at the Guardia di Finanza’s Inspectors and Superintendents School in L’Aquila. Organised in collaboration with the University of L’Aquila, the Forum brought together representatives of public institutions, academia, businesses and specialised media to discuss AI applications, technological innovation and governance.

Laura Morgagni, head of AI4I’s Business Services, contributed to the public-sector panel, presenting the Institute as an enabling infrastructure for industrial AI adoption, connecting advanced research, technological expertise and business needs, particularly those of SMEs.

Morgagni also highlighted SUK – System User Knowledge, AI4I’s platform connecting companies with providers of AI technologies and solutions, as part of a broader technology transfer strategy. She emphasised the Institute’s capacity to bring together public and private stakeholders, building partnerships across research, industry and institutions to accelerate adoption and generate measurable industrial impact.

Moderated by science journalist Barbara Gallavotti, the Forum featured contributions from Gabriele Failla, Commander of the Guardia di Finanza’s Inspectors and Superintendents School; Fabio Graziosi, Rector of the University of L’Aquila; and Fabrizio Curcio, Head of the Department of General Administration, Personnel and Services at the Ministry of Economy and Finance.

The private-sector session included Marco Ramilli, founder of identifAI, who addressed deepfake detection and digital evidence, and Sebastiano Stufano, founder of 2LegalTech, who discussed AI applications in tax law and taxpayer protection.

The programme also featured Alessandro Longo of Agenda Digitale and Massimo Sideri of Corriere della Sera, who explored the implications of AI for information reliability, technological humanism and human creativity.

The Forum provided an opportunity to examine the growing role of generative AI across public administration, industry, education and professional services, highlighting the importance of cooperation between institutions, research and the private sector.
